Thank you so much for recent gifts to Michaels Childrens Village over the Christmas holiday! Words cannot express our joy and gratefulness for your gifts which made so much possible at MCV and our community (Kids Outreach in Backdoor with 450+ kids, Dignity Project- a ministry focused of helping women working the streets find Jesus/better life, Themba Hospital outreaches and more)! We will let the faces of our precious children do the talking….Please watch the following short video which features pictures of the outreaches/Christmas and our Mamas/kids of MCV singing “Siyabonga” which is THANK YOU and proclaiming blessing over our global family!

Can you believe that just a year ago, we launched the NHTRL? And in that one year, we have seen so many lives changed and restored. We would not be celebrating one year today if it weren’t for you cheering us on and promoting the resource line.
IN THE LAST YEAR, WE HAVE SEEN 33 RESCUES, 174 TIPS SUBMITTED, AND 6064 INCOMING CALLS!
THIS IS TRULY SOMETHING TO CELEBRATE!
Alex* came to South Africa with a family under false pretenses and was exploited and abused. She had no freedom of movement, and her basic rights were violated. She was held in a domestic servitude situation and the family benefitted financially from keeping her at their home through fraudulent activity. The case was reported after a friend of the family noted that the situation and the family’s behaviour was suspicious. One key element that stood out to the caller was the methods of control used and how they isolated Alex*. With many interactions between the Resource Line and Alex*, and fear for her life if she were to be found out, the team finally developed enough trust with Alex to coordinate her rescue with law enforcement. After 8 months of building relationship and constant follow up, Alex was rescued from her 12 year exploitation. Alex* is now reunited with her family and couldn’t be happier.
“I WANT TO THANK YOU FROM MY HEART FOR THE GREAT ASSISTANCE I RECEIVED FROM ALL OF YOU! WITHOUT YOU, I WOULD NOT BE A FREE, HAPPY PERSON TODAY WITH A NEW CHANCE OF LIFE! IT IS JUST WONDERFUL WHAT YOU HAVE DONE FOR ME. I WOULD NOT HAVE IMAGINED IT TO BE POSSIBLE, TO ESCAPE THERE EVER! YOU GAVE ME NEW HOPE IN MY TERRIBLE SITUATION AND AT THE END FREED ME AND SAVED MY LIFE WHEN THEY PLANNED TO PUT AN END TO IT. I WILL NEVER FORGET WHAT YOU HAVE DONE FOR ME!“
Alex* is just one of many who have another chance at life because of you. From the bottom of our hearts, the Resource Line team would just like to thank you for everything you have done to make this line a success. We are so grateful for each phone call, each case referred, the wonderful law enforcement officials we work with, each person in government who believes in this line, our amazing partners who we have worked on cases with, for every person who has promoted the number and every person who has helped rescue someone. THANK YOU! We love and appreciate all you do!
LET’S KEEP CHANGING THIS NATION TOGETHER!
